Here’s what you should know about how Catrupt handles your information.

Good apps respect your privacy. ♡

1. The core loop is account-free

You can create and use Catruptions without signing in. Catrupt does not need to know what you watch, type, search for, or read inside another app.

2. What stays on your device

Your Catruption settings, imported cat videos, and local intervention history are stored on your device. They are used to run pauses and show your own progress. Product analytics described below are separate from this local history.

3. Optional accounts and social features

If you create an account, Catrupt stores your email, profile name, handle, internal user ID, Crew connections, referral progress, Cat Paws, gifts, Plus grants, notifications, and Squad Gate decisions so those features can work across iOS and Android.

4. Optional progress sharing

Referral qualification may use only the milestone dates you explicitly choose to share: account confirmation, first Catruption, and use on three different dates. Catrupt does not share your local intervention count with other users or collect content viewed inside another app.

5. Product analytics

We use Amplitude in the United States to understand onboarding, pause outcomes, feature usage and purchases. Events use a random installation identifier and include app and iOS versions, interaction timestamps, pause duration and subscription status. They do not include the names of apps you guard, Screen Time tokens, rule names, journal entries or content from other apps. Advertising identifiers and IP-based location collection are disabled. RevenueCat may use the same installation identifier to associate subscription events. Analytics records are separate from local history; removing local history does not delete records already sent. Contact us with analytics privacy or deletion requests.

6. Purchases

Apple or Google processes payments. RevenueCat helps verify purchases, restore access, and deliver Plus or gift entitlements. Catrupt does not receive your card details.

7. Service providers and security

We share data only with providers required to operate Catrupt, such as hosting, authentication, app-store payment, and purchase-verification and product-analytics services. We use encrypted network connections and restrict server access to operational needs.

8. Retention and deletion

Local data remains until you remove it or uninstall Catrupt. Account data remains while your account is active or as needed for security, purchases, and legal obligations. You can delete your account and associated social data from the app.

9. Your choices

You can disable or delete Catruptions, remove imported videos, turn off referral milestone sharing, restore purchases, sign out, or delete your server account in the app.

10. Children and changes

Catrupt is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date and provide notice where required.
